As some of you may know, we recently held our first DevOps Meetup of 2019. I think it’s fair to say it was an outstanding success and largely due to everyone who came!
On the 28th March, an ever growing community of people from Brighton’s Tech & Digital scenes gathered at The Walrus to share an evening of informal networking & great content. This time around we featured talks from Neos, Tutamantic & Omnitude, all sharing what’s going on in their world & their perspectives on topics such as Data Analytics & Insight, Security & Blockchain. It was highly informative whilst being easily accessible for both technical & non-technical people alike. The evening also featured a lively debate as well as a prize draw in which we raffled off a Raspberry Pi Complete Starter Kit to one of the lucky attendees.
“Thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m someone that goes to a lot of these networking events and it was nice to attend one with just a welcoming feel. Lively debate and all” – Oliver James, Hare
From an organiser’s perspective, it was absolutely fantastic to see so many people flood into an even larger venue than before, with so many returning attendees & new ones too! The feedback as well has been extremely positive so we plan to continue the same format this year, possibly throwing in some other events as well. Keep an eye on the meetup group for more details.
One again a huge thank you to the speakers for the evening Jon Wood & Neos, Geoffrey Hill & Tutamantic and Ben Bennett & Omnitude. If you haven’t already make sure you’re signed up to the meetup group so you can keep in touch with all the latest updates. You can view & join the group below.
